Lorenzo Charoy

French-Italian actor and director, Laurent Charoy, concurrently pursued literary studies at the Sorbonne. He received training at the Claude Mathieu school in Paris, and performed in various productions alongside Jean-Claude Penchenat, Miryam Tannant, Beppe Navello, Eugène Durif, Iris Aguettant, Bastien Ossart, Cécile Maudet, among others.
Later in his career, he underwent training in gestural and baroque declamation under Jean-Denis Monory and Benjamin Lazar. He participated in several of their shows, including “Pyrame et Thisbé” by T. de Viau and “Le bourgeois gentilhomme” by Molière directed by Benjamin Lazar, “Les femmes savantes” and “Les Fâcheux” by Molière with the Fabrique à Théâtre, and “La serva padrona” by Pergolesi with the Collegium Marianum of Prague.
In 2007, he directed the opera “La contesa dei numi” by Antonio Caldara in Cesky Krumlov and worked on “L’Egisto” conducted by Jérôme Corréas and directed by Jean-Denis Monory. He has collaborated with Marek Strincl and the Musica Florea ensemble of Prague, directing “Phasma Praguense” in 2017 and “Muzio Scevola” by Amadei, Bononcini, and Handel in 2019.
