Magdalena Malá
Baroque violinMagdalena studied violin at the Prague Conservatory (Prof. Darina Zárubová) and in historical music practice at the Týnská School in Prague (Collegium Marianum) as part of the Faculty of Education program at Charles University, studying under MgA. Lenka Torgersen. She actively participated in numerous international masterclasses and seminars on early music with prominent figures in historically informed performance practice, including C. Mackintosh, K. Debretzeni, D. Deuter, L. Russell, A. Steck, S. Standage, R. Richter, M. Glodeanu, and I. Korol.
She focuses primarily on concert activities. She is a member and co-founder of Ensemble Fiorello and the piano trio Trio Unitas. She performs as a soloist and concertmaster of the chamber orchestra Ensemble 18+ and is a leading member of the ensemble Musica Florea. Additionally, she collaborates with baroque ensembles and orchestras such as Capella Regia Praha, Collegium Marianum, Collegium 1704, Ensemble Inégal, Harmonia Delectabilis, Hipocondria Ensemble, Musica Salutaris, and Musica Figuralis.
She regularly performs as a chamber and solo musician on various festival stages both domestically and internationally, including Prague Spring, Smetana’s Litomyšl, the International Music Festival Český Krumlov, Olomouc Baroque Festival, St. Wenceslas Music Festival, Concentus Moraviae, Lípa Musica, Haydn Music Festival, Bachfest Leipzig, Händel-Festspiele Halle, and the Festival de Sablé. She also participates in international early music projects, contributes to CD recordings, and records for radio and television.
For several years, she has served as a lecturer at the International Summer School of Early Music in Valtice, where she teaches baroque violin and viola.
About The Class
Students are expected to have at least three years of violin study (students who have mastered the holding of the instrument and can therefore focus on studying music). Each student is entitled to three individual lessons in the duration of 45 minutes. Viola players are welcome as well.
415 Hz tuning is not a necessary precondition.

Choice of repertoire according to the skill level of the participant. Please do not forget to bring music sheets with the accompaniment or basso continuo.
