Michaela Koudelková
Recorder


Michaela Koudelková studied recorder at the Academy of Music in Kraków in the class of Peter Holtslag and Erik Bosgraaf. She is currently continuing her postgraduate studies (Konzertexamen) in the class of Peter Holtslag at the Hochschule in Hamburg.

In 2019 she performed in solo recitals at the Fringe Oude Muziek Festival Utrecht. In the same year she won the Tel Aviv International Recorder Competition in Israel, where she was awarded first prize. In 2018 she performed in the finals of the Kaleidoscope Vocal and Instrumental Competition in Santa Monica (USA), where she was selected among 6 finalists from a total of 2000 participants from 88 countries.

She has performed at festivals in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Austria, England, Norway, Holland, Israel and USA. She has collaborated with La Tempesta, Collegium Marianum, Musica Florea, Orkiestra historyczna {oh!}, Cornu Copiae, Wrocławska Orkiestra Barokowa, Overtone, Musica Aeterna, The Czech Ensemble Baroque, Capella Cracoviensis or Ensemble Opera Diversa.

In addition to her concert activities, Michaela Koudelková is actively involved in teaching. She teaches recorders at the Brno Conservatory.

About The Class

Advanced recorder players interested in the recorder repertoire are welcome. Class work can be done in 415 Hz, 440 Hz or 466 Hz. The tutor asks that students bring complete sheet music, including basso continuo.

Suggested Repertoire

The focus will be on the repertoire of the 16th-18th centuries. Both original compositions for recorder and transcriptions are welcome.
