studied flute at the Prague Conservatoire and then at the Musical Arts Academy of Prague. After moving to Italy, he undertook the study of the recorder under the supervision of P. Memelsdorff at the Civica Scuola di Musica of Milan and continued his studies with the help of K. Boee and M. Miessen. He has taken part in concerts of leading early music ensembles, such as Il Giardino Armonico, Europa Galante, Accademia Bizantina, Ensemble Zefiro and Epoca Barocca; he has also recorded with them for Teldec and Virgin. For Supraphon he has recorded three CDs with the ensemble Musica Concertiva. As a teacher, he pays special attention to chamber and orchestral playing of the Baroque to pre-Romantic repertoire. Since 1986 he has taught at the Conservatoire of Rovigo and from 1995 in Parma. (…)
