Vladimír Richter (Czech Republic)

Solo Singing

Since the mid 80’s Vladimír Richter is active as concert-soloist and vocal pedagogue; from 1994 he teaches at the Masaryk University in Brno. For several years, he has been also the soloist of the Brno National Theatre. Besides his solo-projects he is one of the artistic leaders of vocal-experimental ensemble Affetto. He performed with many early-music ensembles, e. g. Musica pastoralis, Musica antiqua Praha, Flores musicae, Capella Regia, Musica Florea, Collegium musicum Brno, Rožmberská kapela. Vladimír Richter has sung at Prague Spring Festival, and various European festivals of early music (Regensburg, Herne, Brežice etc.), he made a concert tour of South America and participated in many radio- and tv-productions in Czech Republic and abroad. His CD recordings include projects with music by J. Handl, A. V. Michna, B. M. Černohorský, J. D. Zelenka. He is also demanded as interpret of contemporary music – he gave several first performances of works by P. Eben, M. Košut, P. Řezníček, M. Štědroň, A. Parsch, P. Tenhaef.
